What Is The Term For Having A Competing Business To The One You Are Currently Working For?

I work for an excavating company and one of our employees has been bidding the same projects as us for his own personal company. So in other words he has a secret business that competes against the one he is currently working for. Isn’t there a certain term to describe that?

    Well you got it right with competition.
    Theres nothing you can do about it if you did not make him sign a ‘no compete’ agreement.
