How Do I Find A Registered Cooperation?

My husband and I paid someone to form a cooperation for his excavating company. We can not locate our paperwork and we need our tax I.D number. We have been unable to contact the accountant that claims to have formed the cooperation. Do you know of a way to find out our information?
(I have already tried Google)

    Go to IRS.gov they should be able to help you out with this issue.
